Willie Wright

Willie Wright (born William C. Gathright in Belen, Mississippi, on 7 July 1939; died 4 June 2020) was an American soul singer and songwriter, remembered for his 'rediscovered' 1977 album, Telling the Truth. An enigmatic figure on the 1970s soul scene, Wright has spent much of his career laboring in obscurity.
